Regional Access Restrictions for ZED Champions
Last updated August 4, 2025
Effective August 18, 2025
To meet legal and regulatory requirements, ZED Champions will begin enforcing access restrictions in certain regions. The restrictions comply with our Terms of Use, which already prohibit gameplay in these jurisdictions. These enforcement efforts will affect full gameplay access: racing, breeding, staking, marketplace, and tournaments.
The affected regions include:
US States:
Arizona
Arkansas
Iowa
Louisiana
Maryland
Michigan
Montana
South Carolina
Tennessee
Vermont
Washington
Others:
Australia
Any territory under OFAC sanctions
We know this is difficult news, especially for players who’ve been with us from the beginning. This change is driven by legal obligations and is necessary to protect the future of the game. It does not reflect your contributions or importance to the community.
Why It’s Happening
ZED Champions is a skill-based game that involves real digital assets and prizes. Some regions restrict this kind of gameplay. To operate responsibly and meet compliance standards, we are required to restrict access in those areas.
What This Means for Affected Players
Once restrictions take effect, you will no longer be able to:
- Log in to your ZED Champions account
- Race, breed, or manage horses
- Participate in marketplace activity or tournaments
- Interact with Augments or in-game assets
There is currently no free-to-play version of the game available.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why am I being restricted?
Some jurisdictions do not permit real-money or prize-based digital games, regardless of skill. We must comply with these laws to continue operating responsibly.
Can I still access my wallet or horses?
Yes, your assets remain in your connected wallet. However, you won’t be able to interact with them through the ZED Champions platform while in a restricted region.
What if I leave a restricted region?
Access is based on IP address. If you travel to an unrestricted region, you may regain access. Returning to a restricted region will result in access being blocked again.
Is there a chance access will return?
We are continuing to monitor regulatory changes. If the legal environment shifts, we will reassess and may reintroduce access where possible.
